Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has agreed a new lease with Blitz Distribution, the e-commerce specialist, at its 65,000 sqm development in Louis-Krages Logistikpark in Bremen. The agreement means the three buildings, which were completed last year, are now fully occupied.
The 11,700 sqm lease sees Blitz Distribution take a second unit at Louis-Krages Logistikpark, following on from the agreement for 10,300 sqm announced in October 2023. The additional unit will allow Blitz to further facilitate its growth in Northern Germany.
The property features 12m clear height, multiple loading bays, LED lighting, heat pumps in office space, electric vehicle charging options, ramps and doors to facilitate logistics activities, as well as facilities for employees such as covered and landscaped outdoor areas. The installation of 4.2 MWp solar PV is planned for 2024.
Other customers at the development include DHL, the global logistics and international shipping group, Picnic, the online grocer and a long standing Mileway customer and BlackForxx, a provider of warehouse equipment.
Louis-Krages Logistikpark, located just 10 minutes from the centre of Bremen, was developed by Mileway, creating three state-of-the-art logistics buildings to DGNB Gold certificate standards (equivalent to BREEAM Very Good). The first phase of the project commenced in July 2021, with completion of the final building in early 2023. In total Mileway owns more than 129,000 sqm of lettable space in the Louis-Krages Logistikpark area.
Thomas ten Bokum, Chief Real Estate Officer at Mileway said:
“We are proud to grow our relationship with Blitz Distribution and with this additional space in Bremen, help facilitate the company’s growth. This agreement also marks a significant milestone for Mileway – with our large development in Louis-Krages Logistikpark now fully occupied with a diverse range of customers. The interest we have seen in the development has been fantastic and demonstrates the quality of the product we have created as well as the prime last mile location of the property.“
