Alcalá de Henares, Madrid: Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has commenced the refurbishment of Mileway Alcalá, a c. 19,000 sqm warehouse with 1,100 sqm of office space in the key regional market and logistics hub of Alcalá de Henares.
Located less than 30 km northeast of Madrid and close to key industrial areas like Torrejón de Ardoz and the San Fernando Industrial Park, Alcalá de Henares is a strategic logistics hub supported by strong business activity and a dense local population.
Mileway Alcalá, located in La Garena Industrial Park in the thriving Henares Corridor, benefits from immediate access to major highways and is just 21 km from Madrid-Barajas Airport. The site is also well connected by commuter rail and bus lines. With its prime location and comprehensive urban services, it offers an ideal base for efficient local and national distribution, supporting customers’ business expansion and operational needs.
The refurbishment work, scheduled for completion in Q1 2026, includes:
- Rehabilitation of the façade, roof and floor slabs
- Adaptation of 30 loading docks for trailers, 20 loading docks for vans and truck yard
- LED lighting retrofit
- Refurbished office space
- Enhancements to the Fire Protection System (FPS) and electricity installations
- Renewal of HVAC and lighting systems
- Installation of self-consumption PV (photovoltaic) chargers and EV (electric vehicle) chargers, with the project targeting BREEAM “Very Good” Certification
- Installation of an elevator in the office building, as well as other accessibility improvements

Mileway has appointed Magna – a construction company specialising in the logistics and industrial sectors and a trusted partner – in collaboration with Solutec, a group company specialising in asset refurbishment, to undertake the refurbishment.
