From 6 – 8 October, the European real estate community gathered in Munich for EXPO REAL 2025, Europe’s largest trade fair for commercial property and investment. The annual event brings together industry leaders to share insights, explore emerging trends and build partnerships that shape the future of the sector.

According to the organisers, the 2025 edition welcomed more than 42,000 participants from over 70 countries – a clear reflection of the sector’s strength and momentum.

“As Europe’s leader in last mile logistics real estate, we view EXPO REAL as an exceptional platform to strengthen relationships with our customers and partners, gain valuable market insights and showcase how Mileway’s 14 million sqm portfolio supports our customers’ growth across Europe’s major urban areas,” said David McClure, Mileway CEO.

A pan-European delegation from Mileway, including CEO, David McClure, joined teams from across our markets to discuss the future of last mile logistics and explore how we can continue to support our customers’ growth and resilience.

“Mileway’s strong presence at EXPO REAL reflects both our scale and leadership across Europe. The conversations we’ve had reaffirm the importance of proximity, flexibility and sustainability – all central to the continued evolution of last mile logistics. Across the sector, there’s a shared focus on building smarter, more resilient networks that meet the evolving needs of businesses – sustainably,” said Thomas ten Bokum, Mileway Chief Real Estate Officer.

Sustainability was a key theme at this year’s event, and a good platform for Mileway to continue to lead the discussion on creating a greener last mile.

“ESG has been built into our business strategy from the beginning. With a large portfolio in urban locations across Europe, we have the scale and opportunity to create meaningful, positive change through the way we manage and improve our assets,” said Julie Villet, Mileway Head of ESG & Innovation who joined a panel discussion alongside public authorities, industry leaders and city planners. The session explored how logistics growth can support sustainable urban development while addressing climate and resilience challenges – turning ambition into action.

Our time at EXPO REAL 2025 reinforced our purpose: to be Europe’s leading provider of last mile logistics real estate, enabling businesses to thrive, driving sustainability forward and shaping the cities of tomorrow. We look forward to continuing the conversation…
