Pleidelsheim, Germany, 17 March 2026 – Mileway, Europe’s leading last mile logistics real estate company, has signed a long-term lease with a leading automotive company for 33,500 m² at Gottlob‑Gussmann‑Straße 1, 74385 Pleidelsheim, near Stuttgart. Mileway will execute a significant investment program at the property to improve the sustainability and energy efficiency of the asset.
Located directly off the A81 at the Pleidelsheim interchange, the asset offers excellent connectivity to Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg’s production and R&D hubs. It benefits from fast HGV access, a strong local labour pool and proximity to a dense network of automotive manufacturers and suppliers – making it well‑suited to regional distribution, time‑critical operations and the consolidation of fragmented logistics footprints.
Ahead of the customer’s move-in, Mileway will carry out a comprehensive upgrade of the property, enhancing its energy performance while preserving the existing structure. The improvements will align the asset with modern operational and environmental standards, including the installation of a hybrid heat‑pump system with optional photovoltaic (PV) integration to support progressive decarbonisation, alongside full LED lighting to reduce energy consumption and improve workplace quality.
Large, well-connected logistics units in prime locations remain scarce, with high‑quality space in core regions particularly limited. Mileway continues to deliver modernised last‑mile assets with a clear focus on sustainability performance and predictable operating costs – of which the Pleidelsheim letting is a strong example.
Ulrike Haack, Country Director Germany at Mileway, said: “This agreement with a leading automotive sector company reflects sustained demand for high‑quality logistics space in well‑connected locations. We are proud of the trust the customer has placed in us and look forward to supporting their future operations at the site. This project demonstrates how our active asset management and refurbishment approach can drive sustainability improvements, operational performance and long‑term value creation for Mileway and our customers.”
