Malmö, Sweden – Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has delivered a new 13,650 sqm development in the logistics hub of Kirseberg, Malmö. The state-of-the-art facility occupied by long-term Mileway customers HAVI and Snabbgross, has achieved a BREEAM rating of “Very Good,” reflecting a shared commitment to sustainability and enhancing operational and supply chain efficiency.

Located with direct access to the E6, E20 and E22 motorways, as well as the Inner Ring Road and Västkustvägen, the new logistics facility streamlines last mile delivery while promoting greener logistics solutions.

HAVI, a global supply chain leader specialising in storage, transportation, packaging and data analytics, required a larger and more sustainable space to manage complex logistics processes and reduce its environmental footprint. The new facility more than triples HAVI’s previous capacity at c. 7,900 sqm.

Snabbgross, one of Sweden’s premier restaurant wholesalers with a product range including fresh produce, vegetables, non-food items, bread, beverages, and more, required a modern, expansive warehouse with additional storage facilities to deliver directly to its customer base, including restaurants, fast-food chains and cafés. Its new c. 5,700 sqm facility fulfills these needs while supporting the company’s growth ambitions.

Developed in close collaboration with Malmö Municipality, the asset is designed to integrate seamlessly with the city’s aesthetic, including the historic sugar refinery nearby. Sustainability and operational efficiency are at the core of this design which features wooden facade elements.

Additional features include a 500-kW solar PV installation, EV charging stations for cars and trucks,17 loading docks, extensive dry and heated storage as well as a consumer-facing shopfront and staff facilities, including showers and changing rooms.

“By understanding HAVI and Snabbgross and in particular, their long-term growth ambitions, we have co-created a state-of-the-art logistics facility that will support their continued success. This space is not only highly functional and visually appealing but also sets a new standard in sustainable logistics infrastructure in Sweden, and has been achieved through our close collaboration with the local authorities,” said Jacob Goldmann, Mileway Country Director Sweden.

“We are very pleased and proud to inaugurate our new, modern facility in Malmö. We are also grateful to have Mileway as a partner, who throughout the process has truly demonstrated both the capability and willingness to support us when our previous facility became too small. This is a significant investment, marking the next step in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact while ensuring we are well-equipped to meet the needs of both our existing and future partners and continue our growth,” said HAVI CEO, Rickard Niedomysl.

“We are continuing our efforts to modernise our store network and intend to further expand in the Skåne market. With a new, modern space in an attractive retail area, we look forward to growing alongside Skåne’s restaurant and business customers. Through a wide product range, competitive prices, and convenient opening hours, we can offer a strong, comprehensive solution — whether customers visit our store or shop online,” said Jonas Strandberg, Snabbgross Operations Manager.
