Warrington, England – Mileway, a leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has donated warehouse space at Parkway Trading Estate in Trafford Park, Manchester, to Cash for Kids in support of its Mission Christmas programme.
Cash for Kids, a UK charity that provides gifts to children in need across Greater Manchester, is using the warehouse space until the end of January 2025 to receive donations and distribute over 100,000 gifts to more than 30,000 children in the region. The charity will be supported by volunteers, including a team from Mileway as part of the company’s Mileway Acts volunteering programme.
“We are thrilled to donate our space to Mission Christmas to help this remarkable charity spread happiness and joy across Manchester this festive season. This is one of the ways we give back to our local community, with our local teams from across the North of England and Wales also volunteering their time to make this a special Christmas for as many children in need as possible,” said Andrew Jones, Mileway Managing Director UK & Ireland.
“We cannot thank Mileway enough for so generously donating this incredible warehouse space to us this Christmas! We were so worried we wouldn’t have anywhere to run our annual toy appeal this year and then Mileway kindly came to our rescue. We are welcoming over 800 volunteers to this building in the lead-up to Christmas to help us bring the magic of Christmas to thousands of local children. We could not do the work we do without the support of wonderful companies like Mileway,” said Jess Rigby, Acting Regional Manager – North West at Cash for Kids.
Parkway Trading Estate is located in Trafford, home to the world’s first purpose-built industrial park and one of the largest and most successful business parks in Europe.
