Gävle, Sweden: Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, announces that its long-standing customer, DHL Freight, has renewed its lease agreement at Näringen 4:3, a strategically located last-mile logistics asset in Gävle.
Situated in one of central Sweden’s key logistics and commercial hubs, the Gävle asset provides direct access to major transport routes, port infrastructure and intermodal links, enabling DHL to efficiently serve consumers across the Nordics. For DHL Freight, a leading provider of parcel shipping, e-commerce and contract logistics solutions, the location plays a critical role in maintaining a streamlined, efficient and resilient supply chain.
As part of the renewal agreement, Mileway is investing in a comprehensive renovation of the property. The upgrades include new office space across two floors, a modern Service Point, LED lighting, enhanced control and ventilation systems, and exterior and ground enhancements – all designed to support operational excellence and sustainability.
Gävle continues to experience strong growth as a logistics and commercial hub, supported by its skilled labour force, advanced infrastructure and expanding technology and manufacturing sectors.
“We are delighted to renew our lease with DHL Freight, a long-standing Mileway customer and valued partner. These upgrades ensure the asset meets DHL’s market-leading requirements and supports the long-term efficiency and reliability of their supply chain operations across the region,” said Jacob Goldmann, Mileway Country Director, Sweden.
“Gävle is a strategically important hub for us where we want to continue investing in the logistics of the future. The region is both dynamic and has an unbeatable location for reaching all of Sweden, which makes our Gävle terminal an important part of our network,” says Åsa Sigurdh, VP Terminal Based Operations Sweden, DHL Freight.
