Mileway B.V., the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, today announces the appointment of Julie Villet as Head of ESG and Innovation.
Reporting directly to Emmanuel Van der Stichele, Chief Executive Officer, Julie will lead Mileway’s environmental, social and governance agenda, as well as cross-company strategic innovation initiatives.
Julie has significant experience in real estate, having spent nearly 16 years at publicly listed Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), most recently as Group Director of Innovation and Marketing. Before that, she held the role of Group Director of URW Lab and Corporate Social Responsibility, where she led the launch and implementation of the group’s CSR strategy, Better Places 2030.
Prior to her senior, group level, roles at URW, Julie worked in a number of other areas in the business including the development team in France, operations in Sweden and the international leasing team in France. Julie started her career as an analyst in the group’s graduate training programme.

As the largest owner in Europe of last mile logistics assets, which typically are located close to urban centres, Mileway invests in its properties to ensure they best support the local businesses and communities they serve. This includes upgrades to make buildings more environmentally friendly such as LED lighting and solar panels, as well inserting EV charging points that enable its customers to transition to greener modes of transport and delivery.
