Mileway B.V., the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, today announces that it has signed four new leases with three transport and logistics providers – XPO Logistics, Pro-Courses and Transports Sciaqua – and a lease with e-commerce company MH France.
XPO Logistics, one of the top 10 global providers of transportation and logistics services, has signed a long-term lease for 18,000 sqm of space at Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, a prime logistics area in the Lyon region, tripling the size of the space it previously occupied at the facility. The company will join other well-known logistics providers at Mileway’s Saint-Quentin-Fallavier property including DHL Supply Chain, with whom Mileway agreed a four-year lease extension in May 2020. In addition, XPO Logistics has leased 10,200 sqm of space at Fleury-les-Aubrais in the Orléans region.
Both assets are located along France’s critical logistics corridor, and will enable XPO Logistics to create a broad product hub from which it can serve major manufacturers and hypermarkets.
Pro-Courses, a company which offers transport and express parcel delivery services, has signed a long-term commercial lease for 3,800 sqm of space at Gargenville in the Ile-de-France region. Securing this space has enabled Pro-Courses to sign a new contract with a global e-commerce player.
“Agreeing these five leases in quick succession demonstrates that we are able to meet the needs of both global and local customers, and underscores the strong demand for last mile real estate in France.”
Fabien Fridrici, France Country Director at Mileway
Transports Sciaqua, a local provider of transport and logistics services to European manufacturers, has leased a 10,000 sqm unit in the Avignon region. The property’s location allows Transports Sciaqua to establish a base near to the production facilities of some of its key customers. Mileway signed the lease with Transports Sciaqua the day after the property was vacated by the previous customer, underscoring the attractive location of the asset and the strong demand for high-quality last mile logistics real estate in France.
Lastly, MH France, a French subsidiary of Chinese e-commerce company Ningbo Two Birds, has signed a long-term lease for 11,400 sqm of space at Droue-sur-Drouette in the Ile-de-France region.
Fabien Fridrici, Mileway France Country Director, said: “Agreeing these five leases in quick succession demonstrates that we are able to meet the needs of both global and local customers, and underscores the strong demand for last mile real estate in France. We are pleased to have been able to offer these customers high-quality, well-located spaces on attractive, flexible terms and we look forward to supporting them as they grow. We continue to see very strong demand across France for last mile logistics real estate and our portfolio of more than 170 properties across the country enables us to meet the evolving needs of customers of all sizes.”
