Paris, France – Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has successfully completed the extension of a warehouse in the logistics hub of Sartrouville for furniture rental company and longstanding Mileway customer, CLS Events. The extension has enabled the company to increase its storage requirements as official event partner for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The property, managed by Mileway and leased to CLS Events since 2003, now covers more than 5,900 sqm (after an extension of nearly 1,600 sqm, completed in April). The company maintained full operational continuity throughout the construction.

Key features of the expansion include six new loading docks and level access doors, with parking space for 11 HGVs and a 10m clear height to align with the existing storage building. EV charging stations have been installed, as well as improved pedestrian access and safety features. LED lighting has also been installed throughout the building.

The warehouse is strategically located in the logistics hub of Sartrouville,10 km northwest of the French capital, with direct access to Paris via three main motorways (the A86 2nd ring road, A14 and A15).

Being located closer to customers has environmental benefits, with recent research indicating that businesses within ‘the last mile supply chain’ have the potential to lower their emissions between 17-26% through 2025*.

“Our ongoing partnership with CLS Events demonstrates the close relationships we have with our customers and reflects our goal of supporting their long term, sustainable growth by delivering real estate solutions that optimise their business operations and supply chain,” said Aymeric Canivenc, Mileway Country Director France.

“Mileway has proven to be a true partner, with teams of trusted professionals, throughout our history as one of France’s leading event rental companies, and we are very pleased to be able to count on the team’s continued support. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come,” said Jean Caudal, CEO of CLS Events.
