Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has announced the signing of a five-year lease with Kersten Hulpmiddelen at Paul van Schaiklaan 7 in Roermond. 

The well-known Dutch healthcare provider of mobility and rehabilitation aids has taken occupancy of the c. 2,600 sqm office and warehouse space for storing, customising and preparing equipment for customers.  The company wanted to remain in the Roermond area where it has a deep history and where many of its staff are based.  

Companies based at the Roerstreek Business Park, in the South of the Netherlands, benefit from its strategic location near the A73 and A2 motorways and direct connections to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Belgium and Germany. 

Together with Kersten Hulpmiddelen, Mileway has invested in refurbishing the property. To improve the ESG credentials and energy efficiency of the property, LED lighting has been installed throughout, together with (HR++) double-glazed windows for improved insulation. Cladding has been placed on the exterior and the warehouse has been renewed with 80mm thick sandwich panels to improve energy efficiency. Further refurbishments include newly painted floors, a new sanitary area and a fully refreshed exterior.
