Braunschweig, Germany, 1 April 2026 – Mileway, Europe’s leading last-mile logistics real estate company, has signed a lease expansion with Schöning Spedition, a provider of reliable, secure and fast transport solutions and a valued partner to many companies in the logistics sector. The company will expand its occupancy to a total of c. 11,000 m² at Steinriedendamm Business Park in Braunschweig. The multi-tenant warehouse building has a total area of c. 20,000 m².

The parent company, Mühle Rüningen GmbH, uses part of the space for the storage of grain and flour products, while Schöning Spedition provides logistics services for a range of industries – including the storage and distribution of machine parts.
The location at Steinriedendamm offers direct access to the A391with connectivity to the A2 (Berlin–Hanover) and A39, providing fast access to regional and national transport corridors. The business park sits within the Braunschweig/Wolfsburg economic cluster, offering proximity to established industrial and manufacturing hubs and the Mittelland Canal. The surrounding area also provides access to a skilled, stable labour pool.
The property is designed to support efficient heavy-good vehicle (HGV) operations, with optimal loading infrastructure that facilitates short turnaround times, supporting occupiers with time-critical distribution needs.
Mileway recently completed a comprehensive refurbishment of the warehouse. Improvements include energy efficent LED lighting throughout, roof and façade upgrades, floor repairs and structural improvements, bringing the building to a modern and efficient operational standard.
Ulrike Haack, Country Director Germany at Mileway, said:
“The successful expansion of Schöning Spedition at Steinriedendamm Business Park demonstrates the continued demand for well-located, flexible logistics space. Following a full refurbishment last year, the property has seen significant occupier interest, underlining strong demand and the role Mileway plays in enabling customers to scale efficiently in locations where they already operate.”
Stefan Buchelt, Co‑Managing Director of Schöning Spedition, said:
“The space at Steinriedendamm Business Park meets our requirements in terms of functionality and cost efficiency. The location has been ideal from the start, and the leasing terms were attractive. This allows us to optimise our logistics processes and continue to grow.”
