Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, today announces a transition of its Chief Executive Officer, whereby Emmanuel Van der Stichele will step down and Timothy (Tim) J. Beaudin is appointed as CEO.

Emmanuel served as CEO of Mileway since inception of the business in 2019, overseeing its growth to be the leading last mile logistics business in Europe, with over 400 employees, 26 offices and more than 1,600 properties. After an intense period of four years with the company, Emmanuel has decided to step back and take some time with his family.

Tim joins Mileway following a distinguished 40-year career in real estate in both the US and Europe. Most recently, Tim was CEO, and before then was Chairman, of P3 Logistics Parks. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of IndCor Properties, a former Blackstone logistics portfolio company and held various other senior positions across the real estate and financial services sectors. Tim has also served as a senior advisor to Link Logistics and LivCor, two Blackstone real estate portfolio companies.

Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager and the largest owner of commercial real estate globally, created Mileway in 2019 to capitalise on the growing e-commerce-related demand for last mile logistics real estate.

Commenting on the appointment, James Seppala, Head of European Real Estate, Blackstone, said:

“I would like to thank Emmanuel for his outstanding contribution over the past four years, and for all his hard work and dedication in making Mileway the leading pan-European last mile logistics business that it is today. We wish him all the best for the future. We are delighted to welcome Tim Beaudin as the new CEO of Mileway. Tim brings exceptional leadership to the business as well as a strong track record in logistics real estate. Logistics remains one of our highest conviction themes globally, and I am confident that his vast experience and expertise across both the US and Europe will deliver value for Mileway’s investors.”

Emmanuel Van der Stichele said:

“It has been a pleasure and privilege to be at the helm of Mileway as CEO, overseeing the build out of the company infrastructure from scratch, the development of an outstanding team and culture and achieving remarkable portfolio performance. The journey has been nothing short of extraordinary and I know that Mileway has a fantastic future ahead. I would like to thank Blackstone, all of my Mileway colleagues and all business partners for their trust and support over the years.”

Tim Beaudin added:

“It is an honour to be asked to lead Mileway, a great success story in the high-growth logistics space. In the relatively short period of time since its inception, the company has built a strong track record with customers and investors, which place it in a unique position to capitalise on the growth tailwinds presented by e-commerce. I look forward to working with the management team to continue to deliver for Mileway’s customers and shareholders.”
