Milan, Italy – May 6, 2026 – Mileway, Europe’s leading last-mile logistics real estate company, announces a lease with Medi-Market Italia for approximately 17,000 sqm at the logistics site in Albairate, Lombardy.

The property  is undergoing a major redevelopment  to bring the asset in line with the latest operational, energy, and environmental standards for modern logistics use. The works cover both units within the complex: Unit B, now leased to Medi-Market, and Unit A, which is currently under construction with delivery scheduled for summer 2026. In collaboration with the Municipality of Albairate, Mileway has also secured approval to increase the leasable area by approximately 3,000 sqm, supporting better integration of the asset into the surrounding urban area.

Medi-Market is an established Belgian health and wellness brand, focused on pharmacies and para-pharmacies, with a strong network exceeding 200 outlets across Europe. The Group is built on a unique model that combines affordable prices, a broad product range, and qualified advisory services, with the goal of making health accessible to all. Present in Italy since 2019, it currently operates more than 70 para-pharmacies, mainly concentrated in Northern and Central Italy.

Sustainability is a shared priority for both Medi‑Market Italia and Mileway, and it is integral to redevelopment, ensuring the asset is positioned to meet evolving sector requirements. Upon completion, the property is expected to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” certification, supported by energy-efficient solutions including high-performance LED lighting, alongside upgrades to  external areas and landscaping.

Public realm improvement works are also planned, including refurbishment of an existing parking area and new road infrastructure designed to improve safety and traffic flow.

Operationally, the site will be enhanced through new loading bays, improved maneuvering areas and upgrades to internal spaces. The project also includes occupier-specific  fit out elements, such as temperature-controlled environments (18–25°C) and tailored configurations to support logistics operations.

The redevelopment is expected to deliver economic benefits to the local area: the leased 17,000 sqm unit is anticipated to support the creation of approximately 100 jobs,  contributing to employment across Albairate and nearby municipalities.

The site is strategically located in the southwestern province of Milan, approximately 25 km from the city center, with direct access to the motorway network and key provincial roads. The Albairate-Vermezzo railway station, just a short walk away, provides efficient connections to Milan and the wider region.

Mileway was advised by Colliers on the lease with Medi-Market Italia. Unit A (12,604 sqm) remains available and is currently being jointly marketed by Colliers and Savills.
