Paris, France: Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, has announced plans to develop Mileway | Parks Arboretum, a next-generation 69,000 sqm industrial park, owned by opportunistic funds managed by Blackstone, and one of the largest ongoing developments in the Bordeaux region.
Construction will begin in the coming weeks, with the development set to feature ten buildings ranging from 1,600 to 13,000 sqm, offering modular spaces designed to meet the needs of diverse businesses.
“Bordeaux is a fast-growing market and a strategic location in France. This development represents a major investment in the region’s infrastructure, providing businesses with high-quality, well-connected space to streamline operations, shorten the last mile, and better serve their customers. By delivering modern, flexible, and sustainable facilities, we are supporting economic growth while ensuring businesses can operate more efficiently in a rapidly evolving market,” said Aymeric Canivenc, Mileway Country Director France.
Strategically located in Le Haillan, a high-growth economic hub, Mileway | Parks Arboretum will form part of Aéroparc, a wider development led by the Bordeaux Metropolitan Area that aims to support the growth of the region’s aerospace and aeronautics sectors. The park is less than five kms from Bordeaux Mérignac Airport and the Bordeaux ring road, and is well-connected by tram line A (Le Haillan Rostand station), as well as multiple bus networks. It will include integrated bike lanes and pedestrian-friendly pathways to encourage sustainable commuting, and the outdoor space will include a sport track and green social areas.
In line with its commitment to sustainability and greener urban environments, Mileway | Parks Arboretum will meet BREEAM Excellent certification standards, carry the BiodiverCity label for environmental integration, and preserve 25 hectares of historic green space.
“The town of Le Haillan welcomes the revival of the Parks Arboretum project on its territory, which has always been a welcoming place for businesses. They will find a pleasant working environment and numerous nearby services. The municipal teams and the Bordeaux Aéroparc Metropolitan Innovation Hub will work closely with Mileway to support the economic development of this new development,” said Andréa Kiss, Mayor of Le Haillan and Vice President in charge of Urban and Natural Planning – Operational Land Management.
“The immediate commitment to the works at Mileway | Parks Arboretum is excellent news for the metropolitan project, Aéroparc, a flagship of the aerospace and aeronautics sectors which brings together a leading ecosystem of technological and industrial players. This is a significant step in further developing Aéroparc as the region’s largest industrial hub, covering 3,458 hectares of land and providing 50,000 jobs, representing 10% of the metropolitan workforce. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the region’s commitment to ecological transition and decarbonisation, showcasing the Bordeaux Metropolitan Area’s ability to combine economic performance with environmental responsibility,” said Christine Bost, President of the Bordeaux Metropolitan Area and Mayor of Eysines.
The project will be completed in several phases, with the first phase scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026.
